    Wellington Monument (& setting)

    Woodmill

    HCC Summary: A mill, a water-driven corn mill existed in the medieval period. In 1786 a rotative steam engine was installed. The original mill burnt down in 1820. It was replaced by brick buildings used for corn milling. This mill closed in 1930. Part demolished but the remaining structure is now used as an outdoor recreation centre.
